Active DRC Geologic Hazards

Volcanic Risk & Community Monitoring

The Virunga Volcanic Province (including Mount Nyiragongo and Nyamuragira in Eastern DRC) presents active risks to millions. AAWG RDC spearheads community hazard education workshops, teaching young girls and regional associations how volcanoes are monitored, how to interpret early warning signals, and structural safety. Sustainable Mining Focus

Women Mineral Stewardship and ESG

As the world depends on DRC's transition minerals (copper, cobalt, lithium), we strive to position women as competent leaders in sustainable resource stewardship. Our workshops promote Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) awareness, professional geology research, and artisanal mining safety standards. Sustainable Mining
